About the role
As Head of Solution Engineering, EMEA & APAC, you lead and scale Hive’s Solution Engineering function across the EMEA & APAC region. This is a senior, hands-on player & coach role combining people leadership, technical credibility and operations, and commercial impact. You support strategic deals, guide complex solution design, and shape how Solution Engineering collaborates across Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering, with a particular responsibility to reinforce Hive’s evolving product strategy and positioning in customer engagements.
You report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer for day-to-day operations and work in a matrix organization with a dotted-line collaboration to the Chief Service Operations Officer, who owns global SE principles and ways of working. You act as a key ambassador for Hive’s direction, culture, and technical standards. Your mission is to build a trusted, data-driven Solution Engineering organization that helps customers succeed while enabling Hive to scale efficiently.
Working as a Job title, you will:
Lead and develop the Solution Engineering team, setting clear expectations, boundaries, and ways of working that enable strong execution, trust, and continuous learning.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Support to drive the adoption of Hive’s evolving product portfolio, customer value, and revenue growth across the full customer lifecycle.
Act as an advisor and lead technical discovery, solution design, and value articulation in strategic customer and partner engagements.
Drive execution of new and evolving alliance initiatives, aligning stakeholders on scope, integration approach, timelines, and success criteria to de-risk delivery and accelerate launch.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, including support for strategic RFPs, RFIs, and security assessments
Maintain strong technical depth across enterprise video streaming, networking and security environments (e.g. routing, firewalls, VPNs, zero-trust), analytics, and platform integrations.
Bring structured field insights into Product and Engineering, complementing direct customer discovery.
Work effectively in a matrix organization, collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Enable scale through transparency, data-driven decision-making, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.

Location: Stockholm (Hybrid ±2 days/week in the office, with regular travel)

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for an experienced leader who combines strong technical credibility with people leadership and commercial understanding. At Hive, how you work is just as valuable as what you know. We are looking for someone with:
Proven, diverse experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or similar customer facing technical roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology (approximately 7+ years)
Proven experience leading and developing teams in a commercial or presales environment.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT, networking, security, and complex technical ecosystems.
Comfortable engaging senior customer stakeholders and internal leadership in presales, advisory, and strategic contexts.
Experience presenting, demoing, and representing your domain at customer meetings, conferences, or webinars.
Excellent communicator who makes complex topics understandable
Fluency in English

Decision: Timely feedback and next steps - our goal is to complete the process by the end of February, depending on your availability.
