About the team
As Head of UX Design, you are part of Hive’s Product organization, reporting to the CPO, and lead the UX Design team. You represent the UX Design craft in the Product Development Leadership trio, next to the CPO and CTO.
Your mission is to shape and drive execution of a clear user experience vision that ensures our products are customer-centric, intuitive, and impactful. You will influence our product portfolio evolution, co-creating remarkable solutions, coaching a high-performing UX Design team and creating a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
About the role
- You define and champion a clear user experience vision for the Hive product portfolio based on customer outcomes, in alignment to Hive’s product strategy.
- You lead the UX Design team to deliver on a long-term vision and continuously advance the UX Design craft in the company. You spearhead design initiatives with strategic impact and UX Design ops workstreams.
- You lead by example through hands-on design contributions when needed, supporting and elevating the team’s work by applying your craft directly, demonstrating best practices, and acting as a force multiplier for design quality.
- You help advance customer-centric, outcome-driven continuous discovery & delivery practices as a member of the Product Development Leadership trio.
- You collaborate across functions, inspire your peers and company management to enable remarkable UX solutions you’ve helped co-create.
- You grow and mentor the UX Design team, fostering psychological safety, growth, and continuous feedback.
- You lead and structure the UX Design function for resilient, ongoing impact delivery. You work with your peers to anticipate where the business, industry, and UX design practice are going and evolve the UX vision and team structure accordingly.
Who we are looking for
We're looking for someone with a strong UX Design foundation in B2B enterprise products - but just as importantly, the right attitude. At Hive, how you work is just as valuable as what you know. We are looking for someone with the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in Product Design, with a strong foundation as an individual contributor and people leadership experience as a direct lead, mentor, coach.
- Experience setting up and scaling UX Design practices in fast-moving, complex product environments.
- Strong expertise across product design and user research, especially for B2B software, data-heavy, enterprise-grade applications.
